Café Gray Deluxe, The Upper House 2009
Café Gray Deluxe, a 21st century ‘grand café’ overlooking Victoria Harbour, marks the highpoint of aspiration at the Upper House Hotel. The vibrant restaurant is highlighted by a 14 metre long open kitchen and an equally long bar in portoro nero marble, designed to enhance the guest experience in a palette of champagne gold, warm greys and deep lilacs.
The main dining room seating approximately 100 is adorned with a collection of bespoke furniture and bamboo lighting pendents. The L shaped venue is also flanked with timber panels that is twisted in shape to provoke a sense of movement and motion. There are also 3 semi-private dining areas designed with full view of the open kitchen stations and a private salon for 12 is available for exclusive harbour view dining. The bar and lounge, seating 88, is contemporary and vibrant.
